What Our Wedding Clients Say About Us

According to Washingtonian magazine, planning a wedding can be the most stressful part of getting married. To help, they compiled a list of top caterers, florists, photographers, and other wedding vendors. They sent hundreds of surveys to experts in the wedding industry, asking them to name the area's best vendors and also got feedback from dozens of recent brides. TISARA Photography is featured in their listing.

JANE AND MARC CHEEK
Married March 13

Where they met: At Glen Echo Park, dancing in the Spanish Ballroom.
Her most memorable moment: "I wore my mother's wedding dress, and when my father came in to walk me down the aisle,  he said, 'The last time I saw this gown, it was walking down the aisle toward me.'"
Their biggest surprise: "Four days before the wedding, a freak snowstorm hit. It was nice having a little snow in the background of our pictures."
Bride-to-bride advice: "Personalize your wedding. Marc proposed to me on Sugarloaf Mountain when the mountain laurels were in bloom, so we had mountain laurels in my bouquet and in his boutonniere."
They couldn't have done it without : "Our photographer, Nina Tisara. She left the wedding with a smile and a hug."      --BROOKE LEA FOSTER

"Bart and I couldn't be happier with your work. During the posed photo session you handled our rather large (and sometimes unruly) family with quiet efficiency. Your presence during the ceremony and reception was never obtrusive and yet you caught every moment on film. The bottom line is that you managed to capture the real spirit of our big day in a beautiful collection of pictures without us feeling like we were being held captive."       Joanna B. A

"The pictures were absolutely wonderful. You captured everyone that was at the wedding. I didn't even know you were taking half the pictures that you did. You were not obtrusive in any way. You managed to get us away for a few minutes to take the special outside pictures."       David and Manon L

"Everything was exceptional, from the beginning with the planning right until the end of the wedding. Thank you so much for capturing all of our beautiful moments!!!"      Kimberly M

"Friendly, yet efficient, right from the initial phone call. Willingness to listen to client preferences. Relaxed yet professional approach. Friendliness and ease with wedding guests. Photography 'just happened' beautifully without a big production. The photography captures all the happiness we all felt -- the glow that won't go away."       Pat T  (mother of the bride)

"Steven was friendly and unobtrusive -- like a quiet observer who saw everything. He was great!! We were 100% happy with the quality and variety. It was expensive but worth it."       Kate

"At our church, the wedding photographer can only take photos from the balcony using available light. Our photographer, Steven Halperson, did an excellent job. All of the photos are wonderful. Both Steve and his assistant, Lynn, were unobtrusive, warm and friendly, and took great formal and informal shots. We are very pleased and recommend them highly."       Annmarie P  (Mother of groom and professional meeting planner)
